It’s not just a poker event — it’s a dream vacation, and I can’t wait to see who will emerge as the lucky winners.
On the heels of the record-breaking WSOP 2023 series this summer, WSOP and its international partner GGPoker unveiled an exciting winter event slated for December at the stunning Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
The Bahamas festival, aptly named WSOP Paradise, features 15 bracelet events taking place from December 3 to 14 at the Atlantis Hotel, with over $50 million in guarantees.
To give its Ontario online poker players a chance to win their way to the newest stop, GGPoker has launched the “Road to Paradise” campaign that kicked off on October 1.
The campaign runs in the dot-com market and on the GGPoker Ontario real money platform — a segregated platform comprising players from Canada’s largest province.
The Road to Paradise promotional campaign features multiple avenues for players to secure their spots. These avenues include direct qualifiers, exclusive freerolls, participation in OnLive events leading to entry into three WSOP Paradise bracelet events, and the integration of Paradise packages into weekly tournaments alongside other side promotions.
“It’s not just a poker event — it’s a dream vacation, and I can’t wait to see who will emerge as the lucky winners,” said Daniel Negreanu, GGPoker global ambassador.
The campaign comes as part of GGPoker’s commitment to send 1,000 players to this inaugural event across multiple platforms, including GGPoker Ontario. Over the summer, GGPoker demonstrated its proficiency by successfully qualifying almost 800 players for the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas.
With WSOP Paradise, GG’s raised the stakes by committing to send an additional 200 players and is also planning to distribute an extra 200 High Roller packages.

Notably, online qualifiers were already in full swing even before the official launch of the “Road to Paradise” campaign last Sunday. Nine players have already secured their coveted WSOP Paradise Main Event packages.
These online qualification events are available 24/7 and provide entry options with buy-ins starting as low as CAD $15. Participants can also take part in step satellite tournaments at CAD $150 and CAD $1500, all leading to the Main Event package valued at CAD $13,500 as the ultimate reward.
The Road to Paradise package winners receive the following perks:
- Entry to the Main Event worth CAD $7155 ($5000 in USD)
- At least ten nights of accommodation at the Atlantis Resort
- A special GGMerch gift
Early winners will also be treated to an extra 11th night of luxury. Moreover, GGPoker will extend a generous offer of a complimentary daily lunch buffet located just steps away from the tournament area, featuring a diverse selection of international and local cuisines to cater to various dietary preferences.
In addition to the daily qualifiers, GGPoker.ca is gearing up to unveil a massive new Phased satellite in the near future. The operator has boldly declared that this satellite promises to be the most extensive satellite ever.
The debut of WSOP Paradise is set to be a spectacular affair, with over $50 million in guaranteed prizes. The festival offers a variety of events, primarily designed for high rollers but with options thoughtfully included for players with smaller bankrolls. Buy-ins range from a modest $800 to an impressive $100,000, with prize guarantees spanning from $1 million to $15 million.
The tournament lineup showcases three intriguing OnLive format events, introducing a unique hybrid structure that enables participants to engage in online Day 1s and secure their portion of the prize pool before they even set foot in the Bahamas. These events comprise:
- Event #1: The $1650 Mystery Millions pledges an impressive $5 million in guaranteed prizes.
- Event #3: The $26,000 GGMillion$, featuring a substantial $10 million in guaranteed winnings.
- Event #10: The $5300 Main Event, where an astounding $15 million is up for grabs.
Two exclusive events will be hosted solely on the GGPoker platform — an enticing $2000 buy-in Mystery Bounty Pot-Limit Omaha event, promising a $1 million guarantee on December 8, and a $1000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout event boasting a $1 million guaranteed prize pool.
WSOP Paradise will compete head-to-head with the WPT World Championship at the Wynn Las Vegas and PokerStars’ EPT Prague, both orchestrating their events in the run-up to the holiday season.
Notably, WSOP & GG’s Bahamas event will face formidable competition as the WPT has boldly announced a record-breaking $40 million guarantee for the WPT World Championship event.
