Dubbed the Bounty Hunters Series (BHS), this event kicks off this Sunday, October 15, and extends through the first week of November. This marks the second time that the bounty series has found its home in this market, and, once again, there’s over CAD $1 million in guaranteed prizes up for grabs.

Each tournament in the series adopts the popular progressive knockout (PKO) format, with one notable exception — the Main Event, which adopts the trending Mystery Bounty format. Players compete for randomized bounties in this event, making it a standout feature of the schedule with a generous CAD $200,000 prize pool.
The buy-in for the Mystery Bounty Main Event is CAD $210, and it operates as a phased event, supported by dozens of Stage 1 tournaments.

The first edition concludes on October 22, with the second following suit on October 29. These tournaments also feature multiple starting flights to accommodate players’ schedules.
The rest of the schedule offers diverse formats with buy-ins spanning from CAD $5.25 to CAD $525. Some of these formats include turbo events, hyper-turbos, and tournaments where players begin with a mere 25 big blinds. Tables are available in various structures, including 4-max, 6-max, 7-max, and full ring.
In fact, as per pokerfuse’s count, the series boasts an even more impressive total prize pool than initially mentioned, with over CAD $1.3 million spread across 227 tournaments.
Just like in the dot-com market, the GGPoker Ontario app is running a Bounty King leaderboard, running every day throughout the series. Players must accumulate the highest number of knockouts to top this leaderboard each day. The specific rewards for leaderboard toppers are yet to be disclosed, but in the international market, GGPoker is offering $10,000 2023 WSOP Paradise packages daily, totaling 23 packages. These packages include a seat at the $5000 Main Event, a 10-night stay at Atlantis in the Bahamas, and daily access to a lunch buffet.
Whether Ontario online poker players will enjoy the same perks remains uncertain. Nonetheless, this series is not to be missed.
This series follows closely on the heels of the WSOP online bracelet series that ran exclusively for Ontario online poker players. The series awarded over CAD $2.4 million across eight prestigious bracelet events. These events garnered the attention of more than 7000 participants, including 642 in the Main Event, where more than CAD $600,000 was awarded.
The Bounty Hunters Series is GGPoker Ontario’s second-ever event of its kind. The last time it ran a BHS was in April this year, with the same CAD $1 million in guaranteed prize money on offer.
