There’s no breather for tournament players at PokerStars. With the inaugural Mystery Bounty Series barely in the rearview mirror, the operator has scheduled yet another tournament series starting this Sunday.
And it is the one of the most beloved series — the MicroMillions.
PokerStars describes MicroMillions as “THE series for new and aspiring poker players.” If you’re new to the game or working with a tight bankroll, this series is perfect for you. It is specifically designed for low-stakes players who dream of participating in major events like WCOOP or WSOP.
With buy-ins starting at just $1.10, there is nothing “micro” about the prize money. Over $4 million is guaranteed across a whopping 208 tournaments, featuring fun and exciting formats that players won’t find anywhere else. The series runs for two weeks, from July 7 to 21.

And for the first time, the MicroMillions series will include the fan-favorite Mystery Bounty. The combination of the popular MicroMillions and the action-packed Mystery Bounty format makes this series a must-play.
In fact, there are 15 Mystery Bounty events in total, with buy-ins ranging from $1.10 to $5.50. They not only come in the No-Limit Hold’em variant but also come in the Pot-Limit Omaha and 5-Card Omaha variants. Guarantees are huge as these Mystery Bounty events alone put up $260,000 in combined prize money.

The series is more valuable than you might think. At least five events boast guarantees in the five-figure range, including the Main Event, which promises a half-million-dollar prize pool for a buy-in of just $22. This event will be played in another popular popular Progressive Knockout (PKO) format. Other events with guarantees of at least $100k include the High Rollers, with buy-ins ranging from $22 to $55.
The rest of the series features buy-ins of $11 and lower. In fact, most tournaments are priced at $5.50, with more than two dozen events requiring just a $1.10 buy-in.

There is no shortage of fun formats, ranging from bounties to niche variants like Bubble Rush, Win the Button, Last Player Standing, and Adrenaline (where players start the tournament short-stacked). The series also includes almost all poker variants available on PokerStars, such as 6+ Hold’em (Short Deck), 5- and 6-Card Omaha, Stud, Razz, Lowball Draw, Mixed Games, and even novelty variants like Fusion.
To make the series even more valuable, PokerStars will be giving away tons of added-value satellites in the lead-up to the series, meaning that satellites will have added seats no matter the turnout. Plus, players can also qualify via the popular Power Path qualification, with buy-ins starting as low as 50 cents.
To add a touch of prestige, winners of every MicroMillions tournament will also earn a special MicroMillions badge to showcase their victory at the tables.
This will be the 23rd edition of MicroMillions since its debut back in 2012. Across its history, the series has drawn millions of entrants and distributed over $100 million in prize money. Last year’s edition, held exactly one year ago, awarded more than $5 million across 208 tournaments. The Main Event exceeded its $500k guarantee with 27,863 entrants, creating a massive $557,260 prize pool.
Expect similar prize pools and turnout this year and even more so with the addition of Mystery Bounty tournaments.
The 23rd installment of MicroMillions takes place from July 7 to 21.
