The Garden City Group has announced that it will not consider Full Tilt Points, Iron Man Medals or other bonuses as part of US players balances that will be refunded through the remissions process implemented to compensate the victims of Full Tilt Poker following the site’s collapse after Black Friday.
“Full Tilt Points were a marketing tool and have no monetary value,” the GCG website states. “[T]hey will not be refunded and are not reflected in account balances. Iron Man Medals and similar bonuses will also not be redeemed for their cash value and are not reflected in account balances.”
When Full Tilt was still operating, players were able to redeem these non-monetary items for cash and prizes. Those that were stockpiling these rewards with hopes of cashing them in for a big payday will be disappointed by the news.
As outlined in a letter from the Poker Players Alliance last week, several other questions surrounding the remission process remain unanswered including how will poker funds be differentiated from affiliate funds, what documentation should accompany disputes over missing withdrawals and the amending of a submitted petition before the November 16 cutoff date.
