Louisiana State University (LSU) is in the process of ending its multi-year partnership with Caesars Entertainment several years early, according to reports.

The move comes in the wake of criticism of such partnerships from a variety of sources, including elected officials and the media, since Caesars and LSU announced their agreement in September 2021.

It also comes as lawmakers in Louisiana sent a bill that calls for a ban on such partnerships between post-secondary education institutions and any entity licensed by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board (LGCB) to Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards for his signature
