The officials of the world’s biggest poker festival have announced the dates for WSOP 2023 along with some dates of critical events.
The 54th edition of the World Series of Poker will return to its new home on the Las Vegas Strip from May 30 through July 18, culminating in the final week with the iconic $10K Main Event.
“The historic debut of the WSOP on the Las Vegas Strip delivered in a big way, and we’re excited to announce our Summer 2023 dates in time for the holidays,” said World Series of Poker Senior Vice President and Executive Director Ty Stewart, in Monday’s press release.

While the full schedule has not been revealed yet, the officials have pinpointed the dates of several “high-demand” tournaments on the 2023 schedule and “the return of timeless classics.”
This includes the Main Event, of course, along with other WSOP signature events such as the $400 buy-in Colossus, $1000 buy-in Seniors Championship, $1000 Ladies Championship, $1000 Mini Main Event, and the $1500 buy-in The Closer to wrap up the series.
The Main Event runs from July 3 and will likely feature four starting flights.
The opening weekend event — which often pulls one of the biggest crowds — will be the trending Mystery Bounty format billed as Mystery Millions costing $1000 to enter. Bounties will range from $10,000 and top at $1 million. The winner is guaranteed to take home $1 million in addition to the bounties. It will begin on May 31.
In the 2022 edition, the same event attracted 14,112 runners, creating a prize pool of $12.5 million.
Two new events have also been unveiled, including Gladiators of Poker, which will have a buy-in of $300 — the cheapest for a live bracelet event. It will run from June 7 — boasting a $3 million total guaranteed prize pool. The other fresh addition is Ultra Stack taking place on July 11, with an entry fee of $600.
Other notable events include the $1500 Millionaire Maker guaranteeing $1 million to the winner, a $1500 buy-in Monster Stack, and the Lucky 7’s with a buy-in of $777 and $777,777 guaranteed to the winner.
Twelve events have been finalized so far. The full schedule is likely to be released in January or February 2023. Pokerfuse expects the WSOP 2023 live schedule will feature approximately 90 events, similar to the 2022 series.

The 2022 edition of the WSOP saw nearly 200k entrants and $347 million in distributed prize money — a record in the 52-year history of the series. The eventual winner of the Main Event, 34-year-old Espen Jørstad from Norway, claimed the Main Event title and took home $10 million, along with his second bracelet of the year.

The WSOP 2023 series will return to Paris Las Vegas on the Strip and Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino — soon-to-be rebranded to Horseshoe Las Vegas — from May 30 to July 18. The remaining dates on the schedule are likely to be announced in January or early February.
