Over the years, there has been a lot of talk about whether offering cheap bracelet events makes sense and if it somehow brings down the prestige of owning a bracelet. That debate will probably never be settled, but it seems pretty clear where the World Series organizers stand, as the WSOP 2023 will feature the cheapest bracelet event ever.
Dubbed Gladiators of Poker, the tournament features a buy-in of just $300 and a massive guarantee of $3,000,000, meaning that pretty much everyone setting foot in Las Vegas during the summer can take a swing at it at least once.
If you are traveling to the 2023 WSOP and are looking for cheap bracelet opportunities, Gladiators of Poker must be on your schedule.

WSOP 2023 Gladiators of Poker: Event Details
Like many other WSOP events, especially those with lower buy-ins, Gladiators of Poker will feature multiple starting days — four to be exact. The tournament is scheduled towards the start of the series, with initial flights running June 7 — 10.
Day 2 will combine all survivors from the four starting flights into one field on Sunday, June 11. Given the expected large number of entries, a Day 3 is also on the docket, set for Monday, June 12, when the event will play down to the winner.
Players can re-enter twice per flight during the late registration period, which lasts for 11 levels. During initial flights, levels will last 30 minutes, increasing to 40 minutes on Days 2 and 3.
While the tournament features a more turbo-like structure, those who make a deep run at it will probably get a fair bit of play due to the large number of chips available in the event and later levels lasting 40 minutes.

Why Play Gladiators of Poker This WSOP?
To meet its guarantee, Gladiators of Poker must get at least 10,000 entries. If history is any indicator, however, these cheap bracelet events tend to attract big crowds, so it is entirely possible this one will see 20,000+ entries by the time the registration is done.
To win, players will need to outlast a field much more significant than that found in any Main Event, which means you will need to survive more flips and get lucky more often. And, given the small buy-in, just making it into money or even getting a few pay jumps will not be too valuable in purely monetary terms.
However, there are plenty of reasons to play in Gladiators of Poker, especially for recreational players.
If you want a shot at a bracelet, this is the cheapest one you will get, and even though it will be a massive field, someone will emerge triumphant, as that is the nature of poker tournaments. You will need to catch a hot streak of cards, but these things do happen.
Furthermore, while min-cashes are not worth a lot, getting to the final table of a tournament like this can have a considerable impact. The winner will likely take home well over $500,000, which is nothing to sniff at for a $300 buy-in.
Finally, for just a few hundred bucks, you will get the opportunity to play poker for a few days, enjoy the 2023 WSOP atmosphere, and potentially come across some pros, as some of them will probably fire a few bullets in this one to try and build the stack.
The Gladiators of Poker event should be an exciting mix of players of all shapes and sizes, many of whom are not very experienced. The buy-in is so affordable that anyone who even remotely loves poker and happens to be in the area will look to hop in and fire away a bullet or two.

Qualifying for Gladiators of Poker Online
The 2023 WSOP is still a couple of months away, so the number of online satellites running at the moment is relatively minimal. However, if there is one place where you can qualify for Gladiators of Poker online, it will be WSOP.com.
Available to NV, NJ, PA, and MI players, the WSOP online platform already offers satellites for the Main Event. As we get closer to the series, the satellite lobby will likely get populated with many more tournaments offering various WSOP tickets and packages, so make sure to register for an account and keep your eyes peeled!
