PokerStars has unveiled the dates and schedules for the autumn editions of its COOP festivals in the Southern European markets, with over €14 million in guarantees.
SECOOP, the Southern European Championship of Online Poker, runs for players in France, Spain and Portugal, all sharing the same player pool. It returns for its fifth installment, this time with €9 million in guaranteed prize money, two million more than last year’s edition.
The Italian equivalent, the Italian Championship of Online Poker (ICOOP), now on its 13th edition, features €5.5 million in total guarantees, up about €500k on last year and setting an all-time high.
“As with our WCOOP 2022: Take 2 events, we wanted to ensure our Southern European and Italian community also have the chance to take to the tables and play for a coveted title,” said Chris Straghalis, Director of Online Poker Experience for PokerStars, in a recent press release.
