Scheduled for an April slot, this special celebratory edition boasts an increased guarantee of $8 million, surpassing last year’s edition by half a million dollars. The first-place prize remains $1 million, and true to tradition, the tournament will revert to its original format — a $215 buy-in for the classic version, without the progressive knockout or the recent Mystery Bounty experiment.
Last year, the 17th-anniversary edition experienced its lowest turnout in over a decade. The operator had set a $7.5 million guarantee, a significant reduction from the usual $10 million or higher. It drew 39,500 entrants, surpassing the guarantee by 5%.
