- “New Betfair Poker” will run alongside its existing offering on Ongame, now dubbed “Classic Betfair.”
- After six months, Betfair customers will be transitioned to iPoker only, and the Ongame room will close.
Betfair Poker will shortly join the iPoker network, the company announced on its blog on Monday.
According to the post, “New Betfair Poker” will run alongside its existing offering on Ongame, now dubbed “Classic Betfair.”
However, according to a press release from iPoker operator Playtech yesterday, the dual offering is only an interim step. After six months, Betfair customers will be transitioned to iPoker only, and the Ongame room will close.
Betfair will launch in the “top” tier of the iPoker network, sources have indicated to pokerfuse. The network separated in two in September 2012, with a small handful of the larger skins segregating much of their cash-game players onto separate tables.
