- Staking businesses at risk without P2P functionality.
- “Security concerns” was the only reason given for temporary suspension.
A spokesperson from iPoker has clarified to pokerfuse that the suspension of player-to-player transfers is not permanent.
On Wednesday, it was reported that player-to-player transfer facility, which allows players at the same room on the network to send funds between accounts, had been suspended network-wide.
The spokesperson could not explain the reasons behind the temporary suspension, only that the initiative was taken “due to security concerns.”
Since publication of the story, players from large staking operations have informed pokerfuse that that these businesses are at risk without the P2P functionality, as it facilitates quickly moving funds between stakers and stakees.
It is not clear whether the action is directly targeted at such operations. According to at least one player report, unverified, “money laundering” has been cited as the reason for the suspension.
