zerosum79 (NLHE): Low Blind Concepts 3 – 3betting Primer
In this video I walk you through the thought process behind 3betting. We start by discussing the main reasons why you 3bet and then spend a lot of time focusing how the choice to 3bet or not is influenced by the “Stack to Pot” ratio (SPR) that you are trying to achieve. The SPR you want in a hand and facing a given player type, and position relative to them is one of the most crucial concepts to consider when deciding to 3bet. I then walk you through three preflop hands showing you how the decision is affected by SPR when facing each different player type. Finally I end with a discussion of the fundamentally hardest spot you will face when 3betting, playing post flop, out of position, when you missed the flop.Although this video is still independent of the previous videos in the series, I recommend watching the previous video on “LBC – Player Tendencies” since many of the decisions on whether or not to 3bet are influenced by each players specific playing characteristics.
