- Antigua and Barbuda has established a Remedies Committee to collect around $140m owed to it by the USA after WTO gambling ruling.
- The USA has consistently denied that the ruling is valid and has refused to pay.
- Antigua will now decide what US intellectual property it will use to generate the money owed— it can now legally ignore US intellectual property rights until the debt is paid.
Ten years on, little Antigua and Barbuda has finally decided to collect on the money owed to it by the USA following a World Trade Organization (WTO) ruling. The WTO Remedies Implementation Committee (RIC) will now choose to ignore US intellectual property rights until over $140m has been collected.
