- Bulgarian MPs have introduced amendments to the gaming laws which will reduce the taxes paid by operators.
- The current 15% tax on turnover is expected to be replaced by a 20% tax on gross gaming revenue plus a flat fee of €50k.
- Angel Iribozov, the Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Gaming Association, said “higher taxes did not lead to the desired increase of revenues, as expected.”
MPs from both parties in Bulgaria’s governing coalition have proposed amendments to the country’s gambling legislation that would change the basis of gaming taxation.
