According to a recent tweet, Phil Ivey looks to undertake a “Big no drinking bet” which will reportedly have the man generally considered to be the #1 poker player on the planet, stone cold sober for the better part of a year.

The notorious action junkie, while not known as a heavy drinker as much as some other professional poker pros, booked a similar bet in 2010 where he attempted to go a full year without eating meat for a cool million dollars, but eventually Tom Dwan, who was on the other side of that bet, let Ivey buy out of that wager for $150k when faced with a delicious piece of chicken.
Not forgetting that, Dwan also gave Ivey a little public needling via Twitter and suggested he wanted in on that bet as well. Will Ivey be able to get by? The debate rages on over on the Two Plus Two forums.
