PokerBaazi, India’s independent online poker room and the country’s largest operator, has announced the second edition of its record-breaking tournament, G.O.A.T.
G.O.A.T — or Greatest Of All Tournaments — will return with a guarantee of 10 Crore, equivalent to USD $1.2 million. This event promises to be the largest guaranteed tournament ever held in India, surpassing its own record from the inaugural G.O.A.T, which featured a 7 Crore ($850k) guarantee.
This tournament marks the first occasion in Indian online poker history where players will vie for a prize pool of a million dollars or more.
The previous edition of G.O.A.T was part of the operator’s eighth-anniversary celebrations in late October 2022. This year, it is running a month earlier, starting on September 28. The tournament will feature a dozen Day 1s, with a buy-in of INR 5500 ($66).
