Playtech’s iPoker network has set its sights on entering the Portuguese market, with a planned launch scheduled between the fourth quarter of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024.

Carlo Cavaliere, the Director at iPoker European Network, revealed in an exclusive interview with PRO that the network is currently “in the homologation phase,” and they are optimistic about commencing operations within the mentioned timeframe.

“We are already in the homologation phase, and we really hope we will be able to launch the first operator between Q4 2023 and Q1 2024,” Cavaliere told PRO in an exclusive.

Should the Portuguese gaming regulator, SRIJ, grant the license for online poker to iPoker, it would become the country’s fourth online poker network.
