Independent game developer GoldFire Studios has announced the open beta launch of CasinoRPG, its new social free-to-play game which incorporates casino style gaming within an expansive virtual reality.
Hoping to put a new spin on players’ desire to play games like blackjack, slots and poker—no matter where they are—CasinoRPG also opens up their world so that in addition to the gaming action, players can actually do things with all the play money they have won.
The browser based game allows for players to play those varieties of casino based games and then branch out into the virtual world. Players can build casinos, design apartments and become a virtual gaming tycoon through the game’s role playing aspects. The world is built through the collective cooperation and management of thousands of players at the same time.
“Innovation has stalled, and we wanted to do something new,” stated GoldFire Studios founder and CEO, James Simpson, who started the project with the help of crowd-funding through KickStarter. The Oklahoma City based studio decided to build the game from the ground up using HTML5 so while others may use a Facebook Application Plug-In, with CasinoRPG, you can play instantly from any browser.
CasinoRPG’s website is up and running and is currently registering beta testers.
