The merger between Paddy Power and Betfair will be put to a shareholder vote on December 21. Both companies are holding extraordinary general meetings to hold the vote.
Betfair’s accounting period is based on the UK tax year, so its latest results to September 30 are for the half year. The company reported £274.4 million in revenues, up 13% against last year.
Operating profit came in at £67.2 million, up 12% in compared to the first half of 2014. The mandatory albeit temporary exit from the Portuguese market did not affect Betfair as much as Amaya.
