The Everleaf Gaming network has announced that throughout November and December, the rake cap – the maximum the house collects in rake per hand – will be reduced to $1 on all USD tables, across all game types and limits.
The promotion will significantly reduce the rake on all small stakes games and upwards. Traditionally, the rake cap on ring-game tables increases to $2, $3 and beyond at $1/2 stakes and higher.
Along with 25-40% rakeback and deposit bonuses, the move comes as an exceptionally aggressive attempt by Everleaf to use a reduced rake model to attract new players, not seen since WSEX.com’s ultimately failed experiment with a 100% “rakeback.”
Although ranked down in 26th on PokerScout's rankings, the network saw a notable up-tick in total network traffic when it combined its three separate player pools back in July.
Rake reduction has become a common – and welcome – theme in network decisions and promotions lately. iPoker permanently reduced the rake in fixed limit games earlier this month, while PartyPoker reduced the rake of low-stakes SNGs back in September. Meanwhile, upstart Sure Bet Poker heavily promoted a rake structure “lower than most other sites” during the launch at the beginning of October.
