PokerStars, Winamax and partypoker, the three leading operators in the segregated European market, have all unveiled major online tournament series for the autumn period.

The ring-fenced Southern European markets of Spain, France, Portugal and, separately, Italy, are still proving to be key markets for online poker operators as they are once again battle it out with an offering of robust online tournament schedules.

The biggest series to run will be the magically themed Pokus from Winamax that guarantees €8 million. Competing alongside is PokerStars’ Southern Europe Championship of Online Poker (SECOOP) with €7 million in guarantees. Meanwhile, partypoker brings back their flagship Powerfest series with a modest €2.5 million in guarantees.

In the Italian market, which does not share a player pool with the other European markets, PokerStars brings back the Italian Championship Of Online Poker (ICOOP) with €5 million guaranteed.

888poker has yet to announce a series for neither its Spain-Portugal poker network nor its Italian online poker room.
