Michigan online casinos and poker apps generated $160 million in revenue in October, the third highest figure on record and growth of 14% on the same month a year ago. With that said, it is the weakest annual growth on record.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board does not split out casino and poker revenue in its monthly reports, but PokerStars, whose revenue is thought to be predominantly online poker, squeezed out growth of 4% year-over-year with revenue of $2.5 million. The online poker giant has grown every month since January, when it connected its Michigan player pool with its counterpart in NJ.

BetMGM still leads the online casino market, generating $45.6 million in revenue in October 2023. However, its market lead is slipping. Last month it claimed only 29% of the market; a year ago, that figure was 37%. Year-over-year, its revenue is down by 13%.

Meanwhile, DraftKings and, in particular, FanDuel are booming. DK was up 43% year-over-year; FanDuel 61%. Market share last month was 20% and 23%, respectively.
