Online poker giant PokerStars has announced The Big 20, a set of promotions to coincide with 20 years of operation.
According to limited information released via press release Monday, festivities start on November 14 with the Big 20 Rewind, a tournament series dedicated “to the best PokerStars moments over the last two decades.”
The series runs through to December 4, then on December 5, the Big 20 Finale will run: A $55 buy-in event that will be looking to attract a staggering 100,000 entries to cover its $5 million guarantee. There will be $500,000 in added prizes.
However, as first reported by pokerfuse on Monday, celebrations will actually start on November 1, with super-sized regular promotions, and a Ticket Machine from November 8 giving out tickets to the Finale.
“It’s time to celebrate. Big time,” reads the Big 20 promotional page. It is accompanied by a promotional video highlighting many of the standout events over the last two decades of PokerStars online series and live events. “20 years of unforgettable experiences. 20 years of winning moments. 20 years of PokerStars.”
“It’s been an awesome ride so far. And to say thanks for sharing the journey with us, we’re putting you at the heart of our celebrations,” the page goes on to say. “It’s time to party like it’s your birthday.”
